LinkedIn is a powerful business tool, and if you’re not using it to its fullest potential, you’re missing out. This blog post will show you how to optimize your LinkedIn business page for SEO in 10 simple steps.

Step One: Claim Your LinkedIn Business Page

The first step is to claim your LinkedIn business page. This is a relatively simple process – click on the “Create A New LinkedIn Company Page” link and follow the instructions. Once you’ve claimed your page, make sure to fill out all of the information, including your company name, website, description, and keywords.

Step Two: Add a Logo and Banner Image

Your logo and banner image are essential branding tools, so be sure to add them to your LinkedIn business page. The logo should be in high-resolution JPG or PNG format and at least 300×300 pixels in size. The banner image should also be high resolution (preferably 1200×627) and should represent your brand somehow.

Step Three: Write a compelling page description

Add your most important 3-4 target SEO keywords right at the very top of your LinkedIn company page description. Individual keywords with a unique character such as ‘*’ try to maintain it to 90-100 characters.

Step Four: Use about section wisely

Put a double space and write an engaging and compelling sentence of 150-160 characters about your company containing your 2-4 most vital targeted SEO keywords.

Step Five: Don’t forget the details

Now put a double space over again and give an extended edition of details about your company. I recommend you use nearly 5-7 variations of your primary SEO keywords.

Step Six: What makes you special

Google likes to pay a great deal of focus on the specialties portion of your company’s LinkedIn page. You’ve 256 characters & numerous fields open to adding most of your primary and secondary target SEO keywords.

Step Seven: Connect the dots

Research the best you can, join & then connect with linked groups in your niche.

Step Eight: Get engaged.

Join the discussion, like comments and posts with helpful insights. Plus, notice what’s trending/common and jot it down.

Step Nine: Be direct

Reach your user base directly—link with new people via InMail or profile email. Then, share helpful, related posts and insights, bearing in mind the concerns above.

Step Ten: Recycle Content

Produce content that you can post on your blogs, podcast, and video channel or in a LinkedIn post. Engage and drive your customer back once again to your preferred online resource.
